Mdundo Guides: Common Upload Challenges And How To Fix Them

When uploading music to Mdundo it should be a smooth process that should allow getting your music online and available to your fans as easily as possible. Unfortunately, there may be challenges that artists face in the upload process that makes the whole experience tedious and difficult. Below we will focus on the most common challenges that artists encounter and detail how they can be easily rectified.

ENSURE THAT THE SONG IS IN THE RIGHT FORMAT

Music is recorded and released in various formats such as .mp3, .ogg, .aac and many more. For Mdundo we only accept the .mp3 format to be uploaded on the platform. The format is universally recognized and allows for your music to be listened to on any device. Most songs are recorded in the .mp3 format but if you have a song that is not in that format you must convert it to .mp3 before uploading it to Mdundo. Audio converters are available online, you can even use the one in the next link.

USE THE CORRECT DEVICE

In this day smartphones have become the most common way people access the internet and are widespread. With smartphones being present everywhere it is becoming the device of choice for artists to upload music on Mdundo. Some smartphones though do not have the hardware and software specifications to allow for an easy upload process and make the entire thing tedious. It is recommended that when uploading you use a computer because the upload process is optimized for that type of hardware. This will minimize the risk of challenges arising.

USE AN UP-TO-DATE BROWSER

Browsers come in all shapes and sizes. They are separate in function and are optimized to do various things. As time passes the browsers need to be updated to be able to maintain functionality on the internet. Browsers that are out of date will have difficulty completing the upload process so it is necessary to keep your web browser up to date at all times. Mdundo recommends that you use Chrome web browser during the upload process.

KEEP A STABLE INTERNET CONNECTION

An unstable internet connection will prevent the upload process from happening. The upload will keep cancelling and restarting without completion. It is necessary to perform the upload process when there is a stable internet connection. Make sure that you have enough data bundles and that the network signal is strong if you are using a mobile network. If you are using wireless internet then make sure your signal is strong enough

HAVE THE CORRECT FILENAME

The audio file to be uploaded should have a simple and short filename, preferably the name of the song or content to be uploaded. The name should not be too long or have special characters. A file name that has special characters for example #, & and % cannot be uploaded to Mdundo.

HAVE THE CORRECT DATE OF RELEASE

Inserting the correct release date is a very important part of the upload process. If you are having challenges with this particular activity please click the link below to find out how to fix it
