How to Register Your Copyright

To register your music copyright in Kenya, follow these steps:

  2. Fill out the copyright registration form – Download the form from KECOBO’s website.

  3. Pay the registration fee – As of now, the fee is approximately KES 1,000 per work (subject to change).

  4. Submit your application – You can submit it physically at the KECOBO offices or online if the portal is active.

  5. Receive your certificate – Once processed, you’ll receive a copyright certificate, which serves as legal proof of ownership.
