Nigerian afropop artist, Joeboy, continues his run at the top of the Mdundo charts by having the most downloaded song on the platform in the month of February. His hit song, Alcohol, continues to stay at the top of the charts, a position that it has maintained since January. In addition to Alcohol, Joeboy has nine other songs in the top 100 most downloaded songs of February including Show Me, Focus, Baby and All for You.
Another notable artist to feature in the charts include Guchi, who is riding high on the strength of her hit single Jennifer and also having singles such as Benzema, American Love, Hello and others all featuring within the top 100 most downloaded songs last month. It is also no surprise to see Lucky Dube featuring within the top 10 most downloaded songs with two entries. The late South African Artist is still massively popular and has a whopping eleven songs featuring within the top 100 most downloaded songs of February.
Other artists who have songs featuring in the top 100 include Caroline Akinyi, Exray Taniua and Mutulani Kasheshe from Kenya, Mac Voice and Nandy from Tanzania and Omah Lay and Naira Marley from Tanzania. The February charts have not seen much change with only one song dropping out of the top ten as compared to the January charts while the rest of the top ten either maintained their position or had a slight change.
