As part of Mdundo’s continued effort to support correct music rights management, please note that as of 1st February 2021, Mdundo will no longer permit the upload and distribution of unauthorized DJ Mixes and will begin the deactivation of any unauthorized dj mixes available on Mdundo.com and Mdundo App.
This is as a result of several copyright infringement reports of unauthorized content that is featured in most of the mixes uploaded to the platform.
While we value the varied content creators on the platform, Mdundo does not currently have the framework to support the upload of mixes and proper allocation of royalties to the correct rights holders featured in each mix. We are, however, exploring the options for a framework that would allow for the correct management of rights for content in mixes while also generating revenue for DJs and will communicate when such framework is available on Mdundo.
